Alzheimer's Australia

The University of Queensland has signed an MOU with Alzheimer's Australia (QLD) to facilitate research, engagement and training across the two institutions [View on UQ News].

Over the last two years this relationship has come to fruition in the School of Psychology with a vibrant externship scheme which sees two advanced clinical psychology postgraduate trainees placed at the organisations Dementia Behaviour Management & Advisory Services, in Woolloongabba. The UQ Clinical Psychology Program also has strong research association with Alzheimer's Australia, with several postgraduate students having their research facilitated by the organisation.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society Qld

The UQ Clinical Psychology Program has a productive collaborative relationship with the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society Qld in three areas: needs-based referrals of persons affected by MS to the UQ Psychology Clinic for psychological services; collaborative research into the psychosocial domains of MS; and the placement of postgraduate clinical psychology students at the MS Society.

The Murri School

The Aboriginal and Islander Community School is known as 'The Murri School' in Acacia Ridge. It is an independent school and was established in 1986.

The UQ Clinical Psychology Program has a productive collaborative relationship with the Murri School, which is willing to collaborate on selected research projects and hosts the placement of postgraduate clinical psychology students at the school.
