Established in 1984 as a tribute to Professor Emeritus D. W. McElwain, former Professor of Psychology, and maintained by the income from a fund subscribed by his former colleagues, students and friends.

Criteria:

For best thesis in a Fourth Year psychology topic.

Value:

$395 (and University provides certificate)

Process:

Central Process of Memo forwarded to Head of School and details of winner forwarded once finalised. Award determined and confirmed at Honours Examiner Meeting.

Presentation:

UQ Prizes forward certificate and cheque.
