Demonstration - Oddball Illusion

A novel stimulus appears to last longer.

When a novel stimulus (here a cow) is inserted into a stream of standard stimulus presentations (a building), the novel stimulus can seem to persist for longer than the standard stimulus presentations, even though the presentation durations are all physically matched.
