this year the Jury Research and Practice Conference is being hosted by the School of Psychology at the District and Supreme Courts' Complex in Brisbane. The opening address will be by the Chief Justice, The Honourable Paul de Jersey, AC. The conference has been running for a number of years as an initiative of the National Court of the Future Project, and attracts practitioners and researchers interested in juries from around Australia. It is a great forum for meeting people from a variety of professions and disciplines of research.
The conference will be on Friday November 14, with a tour of the courts on the afternoon of the day before.
Submissions for presentations are called for, and registration will be available from August 15.
