As a part of Mental Health Week, representatives of Queensland Health within Occupational Therapy, Psychology and Social Work will be on campus to speak about their roles within Mental Health. They will be able to answer all those questions you've always wanted to know about working for Queensland Health as a graduate and working in the area of mental health.
There is a wind of change in the community and in the sector with the slow turning around of stigma. People with mental illness are being valued and understood in our community. There is more willingness to understand mental illness and how it affects us all; the individual and the community. Substantial funding is also allowing upgrades to facilities and new programs at a State and Federal level; it is an exciting time to become a part of this industry.
