On Friday September 18 A/Prof Liz Jones, from Griffith University's School of Psychology will present a social psychology seminar. Her talk is titled "Perceptions of nurse-parent communication in neonatal nurseries: An intergroup perspective" (abstract below). Hope to see you there!

Abstract: This seminar will present the results of 2 studies examining perceptions of nurse-parent communication in a neonatal nursery. Both studies used Communication Accommodation Theory to examine perceptions of effective and ineffective communication in neonatal nurseries. Study 1 compared mothers' and fathers' perceptions of effective and ineffective communication. Study 2 compared nurses and parents perceptions of effective and ineffective communication.

Biosketch: Liz Jones is an Associate Professor in social and organisational psychology at Griffith University. Her research examines intergroup communications in intercultural, organisational, and health contexts.
