Weekly Seminars

The School of Psychology hosts weekly seminars on Friday afternoons. Postgraduate students are strongly encouraged to attend these seminars as they provide a great opportunity to learn more broadly about psychology, and to interact with other postgraduates and academic members of the school.

For all official UQ policies and forms, please visit the graduate school web page. Please submit all forms and correspondence through the Postgraduate Administrative Officer.

School Funding

Annual allocation to advisors (for photocopying & printing etc.):

• $400 for full-time postgraduate research students
• $200 for part-time research students
• $200 for DCP
• $100 coursework masters (when enrolled in thesis component)

Funds must be spent by November of the year they are allocated.

Students can also apply (with advisor) for support to buy essential equipment. Please contact Dr Mark Horswill (Chair, Equipment & IT Committee).

Furthermore, students can apply for conference funding (contact Holly Dennis, Senior Finance Officer).

Postgraduate/Research students can apply for $750 each year in the first 4 years; and an additional $1500 for an overseas conference once only during first 4 years (not in first year).
