Mark Horswill will be presenting a talk on Wednesday from 12-1 in Room 317 titled "Drivers' hazard perception ability". It will be an excellent talk and not to be missed! Abstract below.
Abstract:
Drivers' hazard perception is the only driver skill that correlates with crash risk across a number of studies. To coincide (more or less) with the introduction of the Hazard Perception Test for all new drivers in Queensland (which is being partly created by my research group), I shall present findings from our recent research into this skill. Topics will include: sleepiness and hazard perception, older drivers and hazard perception, the distracting effects of billboards on hazard perception, and much more!
