Three Minute Thesis Competition

Three Minute Thesis Competition
Start:
Monday, 1st September 2008

The School heats for the UQ Three Minute Thesis Competition are being held on Monday 1st September at 1pm in Rm 304.
Entrants will present a 3-minute version of their thesis in language appropriate to an intelligent but non-specialist audience. There are 3 stages in this competition a School Heat, SBS Faculty Final (on 15 September) and UQ-wide competition (held during Research Week).
It is a great opportunity for PhD candidates to get practice at explaining what they are doing to a non-specialist audience, and for other members of the school to get an overview of the different kinds of research that are being carried out within the school. It should even be fun!
Entrants include the following:
Stacey Parker
Tania Xiao
Karyn Healy
Michelle Nesic
Karen O'Brien
Linda Peach
David Butler
Jessica Paynter
Everyone is welcome.
