Pitching your research (Dr Winnifred Louis)
Winnifred Louis received her PhD from McGill University (Montréal, Canada) in 2001 and currently is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology at UQ. In addition to teaching and co-ordinating courses on research methodology and social psychology, Winnifred has conducted extensive research on the influence of identity and norms on social decision-making, in contexts from politics and community activism to financial decision-making to health choices. In this lunchtime session, Winnifred will speak about pitching your research. Regardless of whether you plan to apply for a postgraduate program, a scholarship, or employment, the ability to communicate the worth of your research (and you) in a relevant, informative, and engaging manner is a valuable skill in academic and professional life.
